Review Policy

Hello Authors, Publishers, and Bookish People Alike

I have a deep love for a wide variety of genres, but fiction hold a special place in my heart. Whether it's historical, fantasy, or thriller, I’m always excited to dive into a captivating story. That being said, I’m also open to the occasional nonfiction book especially when it’s on a topic that sparks my curiosity

Here are some of my current favourite genres:
  • Greek Mythology
  • Humour
  • Sci-Fi & Fantasy
  • Horror
  • Thrillers
  • Mysteries
  • Young Adult (YA)
Formats I Accept
I accept both paperback and digital books, but digital copies must be compatible with Kindle.

My Review Approach
All my reviews reflect my honest opinions, but I approach them with kindness and fairness. I believe in highlighting what works in a book rather than focusing solely on its flaws. As the saying goes, " If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all”."

Books are the result of an author’s time, effort, and dreams, and I respect that deeply. If I am unable to finish a book or feel it’s not the right fit for me at the time, I will contact the sender privately to explain.

I believe in the idea of the 'right book at the right time.' If a book doesn’t resonate with me initially, it may simply not be the right moment for me to connect with it, and I don’t think it’s fair to critique a book harshly under those circumstances. Or, to quote Taylor Swift, 'It’s me, hi, I’m the problem, it’s me”

Where I Post Reviews
My reviews are primarily shared on my blog, and I also promote them on Instagram and Bluesky once they go live.

Timelines and Scheduling
If you need a review by a specific date, please let me know. Otherwise, I read and review books in the order they are received. Please note, life can sometimes interfere, especially with my allergy disorder diagnosis, so I appreciate your understanding and patience.

  1. Hi Lauren,

I'm contacting you because you really enjoyed my last novel, The Book Knights, and I thought you'd get a kick out of my latest work, The Blademaster's Call. Here's the blurb:

"Never meet your heroes. Especially the ones you’ve written.

Before he can delete his dreadful novel, a down-on-his-luck writer finds himself inside the story, marked for death by its cunning villain.

When the awful first volume of Jack Green’s epic fantasy trilogy is snubbed by every literary agent on the planet, in a fit of rejection rage he decides to destroy his life’s work. That’s when Jack finds himself inside his book, accompanying its sword-wielding hero on a perilous mission that will determine the fate of his character’s world and his own."

And here's the link to the book on Amazon: https://mybook.to/joFS99

If you'd like to read the book, I'd be happy to send you a copy in the format of your choice. I'd like to thank you again for the great review you gave The Book Knights, and I wish you all the best.
