Let's talk about.... LittleLifts

Hello Readers,

Today marks the start of Mother Goose’s and I LittleLift challenge. After I did my video announcing that we were doing the challenge at 20,000 steps a day, I was met with messages of worry and concern. With both, our jobs Mother Goose and I can do anywhere between 16,000 – 22,000 steps in a workday. Do you not agree with me it's slightly unfair for us to only challenge each other 2,000 steps a day? On our days off it’s the real challenge we have agreed to try hit 7,000 – 10,000 steps.  I also have a sponsor page no pressure to donate but if you wouldn’t mind here’s a link.

So now all boring bits out the way let’s talk about Little Lifts. I came across LittleLifts on Twitter at the beginning of the year and I can 100% get behind what they are doing. So LittleLifts are what they say on the box a little lift.  They provide practical and emotional support to women who face chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer, giving them a carefully created box at the start of or during their treatment that contains little sparks of joy during a dark time.

If you’ve followed me for a while you know how close breast cancer charities are to my heart. I remember when my Grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer her friends sent her little cheer up packages including cards, funny photos and little gifts. I still remember her waiting by the door when she knew one was coming. I would like to imagine that’s how people are knowing that LittleLifts has their back.

So, what is in the LittleLifts box I hear you cry for a full list click here. Here’s a couple of things I picked out

·         Face and Body Lotion

·         Lip Balm

·         Chewing Gum

·         Chilli Oil and Mixed Herbs

·         Tote Bag

Check out my Instagram for daily updates and to see Mother Goose and I compete against each other.
