Hidden Gems I have found on Kindle

Hello Readers,

Today I am going to share with you guys some of my favourite books I have found hidden away in the kindle store. while looking at the synopsis of these books I couldn't help but sneak a peek at the reviews and in my personal opinion some of them are beyond harsh. I reread all of these books this year and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them again.

Zombie bitches from hell by Zoot Campbell

Fair warning before the synopsis this book is offensive to everyone you don’t have a chance to be mad because no one and I mean no one is safe from Zoot’s onslaught. I enjoyed Zoot’s take on zombies and the inner child in me giggle a lot at the zombie virus that only affects females and makes them get munchies for the male family jewels.

A plague has turned all the world's women into brain-eating zombies. Join reporter Kent Zimmer as he takes a hot air balloon from Colorado to Massachusetts in search of both his girlfriend and a cure. Along the way, he encounters hungry undead, psychotic doctors, evil nuns, racist militias, drag queens with machine guns, and stockbrokers with greedy intents. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Eden Trilogy by Nicole Williams

I loved the Eden trilogy! I’ve just checked the reviews while getting the synopsis and I think people are being a little harsh. Full disclosure reread all three back-to-back and had no issues rereading them.

Eternal Eden (Book One) synopsis

College sophomore Bryn Dawson is a self-proclaimed poster child for normal. However, the day William Hayward enters her life, normalcy is the last thing Bryn will be able to count on if she wants to be with him. Too mysterious and appealing to be good for a girl, Bryn feels drawn to him in a way that seems out of her control—as if fate is orchestrating it.

Despite every red flag and warning siren going off in her head telling her not to, Bryn falls hard for William, knowing he’s categorically different from anyone she’s ever met. She never imagined how right she was. When William takes her deeper into the rabbit hole of his world, Bryn must decide just how much she is willing to sacrifice to be with him, knowing no matter what, fate always finds a way to have the last laugh.

Walkers series by Zelda Davis-Lindsey

I found this book on kindle while in my zombie book phase and this book series for me didn’t disappoint. This story is unique in the fact it focuses more on the relationships (dating, siblings, parenting) of the survivors rather than on the zombie-slaying. That doesn’t mean that there isn’t zombie vs survivor action we know and love from this genre it's just not as intense.

The Beginning (Book One) synopsis

A small group of strangers, led by novice zombie fighter, JD and her seventeen-year sister, Lacy, head for Montana from Florida where the zombie virus first struck. They're searching for sanctuary in the mountains of big sky country. Along the way, they fight walkers, militia, the weather and the living trying to take over. JD uses her crossbow to level the playing field while trying to survive in a world that's gone crazy. She finds more than she bargained for in Mason, an ex-Navy seal who only wants her heart as they try to carve out a tiny piece of heaven before the wilderness decides differently.

Asylum by Amy Cross

This is a brilliant book I found on Amazon a couple of years ago and reread it at least once a year. This book might not be a stereotypical monster book but some parts make you so uncomfortable. Once I got started this book, I wanted to discover all of Lakehurst's mysteries, and uncover the truth about the evil that lurks there. I honestly can’t read this book at night. I have done a more in-depth review here.

After shooting her little brother dead, Annie Radford is sent to Lakehurst psychiatric hospital for assessment. Hearing voices in her head, Annie is forced to undergo experimental new treatments devised by a mysterious old man who lives in the hospital's attic. It soon becomes clear that the hospital's staff, led by the vicious Nurse Winter, are hiding something horrific at Lakehurst.

As Annie struggles to survive the hospital, she learns more about Nurse Winter's own story. Once a promising young medical student, Kirsten Winter also heard voices in her head. Voices that travelled a long way to reach her. Voices that have a plan of their own. Voices that will stop at nothing to get what they want.
