I went pretty heavy with the book recommendations this year, sorry. I thought today I would share some movies I cant wait to see. I am using poster images I have found through google I do not own any rights and am using the image purely for review purposes (Fair use under the copyright act sections 29 and 30 under use for a review).
Renfield
Plot: Renfield is a horror-comedy film directed by Chris McKay and written by Ryan Ridley. R.M. Renfield decides to leave his centuries-long line of work as a henchman and familiar to Count Dracula and finds a new lease on life in modern day New Orleans when he falls in love with a feisty but perennially aggressive traffic cop named Rebecca Quincy.
Thoughts: I loved Dracula dead and loving it, I hope Renfield is in the same vein. I am excited to see where they take this there isn’t a lot from Rynfield’s perspective.
The Little Mermaid

Plot: A young mermaid makes a deal with a sea witch, to trade her beautiful voice for human legs so she can discover the world above water and impress a prince.
Thoughts: As soon as I saw the trailer for this, I was stupidly excited. Screw all the close-minded people who have already slated this film. Hades forbid there be a black mermaid, like that’s your problem not the talking and singing crab…. Okay boo! If that’s more believable go have a word with yourself. My excitement for this film as reignited when I went to see Matilda and rewatched the trailer.
Haunted Mansion
Plot: A single mom named Gabbie hires a tour guide, a psychic, a priest, and a historian to help exorcise their newly bought mansion; after discovering it is inhabited by ghosts.
Thoughts: Guillermo del Toro is listed as screen writer which I have just discovered while writing this post so now I even more excited. I really like the orginal movie and I cant wait for the reboot.
The Meg 2: The Trench
Plot: Plot unknown – but it is rumoured to be following the plot of the second book
Thoughts: I loved the Meg, blame my parents letting me watch Deep Blue Sea as a child. The Meg is one of the shark films I can get Mother Goose to watch with me and we still joke we’re Jellyfish.
Legally Blonde 3
Plot: Plot unknown
Thoughts: Please let 2023 be the year we get Legally
