Miniature Review
Did I request this book purely for my love for the nightmare before Christmas? Yes, I did. Fun fact we are both 30 years old this year. Just one little thing this book CLEARLY states it’s a novelisation of the film. It’s not stating anywhere it is a retelling or a whole new story, I don’t know how some people have got their wires crossed but yes, this book is the film in text. If it’s a sequel you’re after there is Long Live the Pumpkin Queen by Shea Ernshaw.
This novelisation is a lovely reminder of the spookiness of the film and the character I grew up loving. This book is harder to review than I thought as I am way too bias, I think Megan did a wonderful job translating the book from screen to page and has done the story justice. I enjoyed the slight change in dialogue where the original songs take place. This book is perfect for the upcoming spooky season.
I think this book is for the diehard fans am I going to get a finished copy to add to my Nightmare Before Christmas collection of course I am. I would also recommend reading this book with Vitamin String Quartet performs The Nightmare Before Christmas on in the background.
