Hello Readers,
I’ve recently gotten back into gaming, and honestly, it’s
been such a refreshing and enjoyable experience. It feels great jumping back
into some fun after not playing for a while. Whether it’s exploring new games
or just chilling with some old favourites, it’s been a great way to relax and
decompress. There are some awesome games coming out soon that I’m super excited
about, so I thought I’d share the ones I’m really looking forward to.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A

About: The Pokémon Company has officially announced an
October release date for the RPG this year. Earlier in the year, we got a good
look at gameplay footage revealing that the adventure will take place in
Lumiose City. Pokémon Legends: Z-A will feature expansive open-zone
areas, real-time dodging and command mechanics, and the return of Mega
Evolutions.
Thoughts: As a longtime Pokémon fan, I’m genuinely
excited for Pokémon Legends Z-A especially after rekindling my love for the
series over the past year. Getting back into the games has reminded me just how
special this franchise is, from the thrill of catching new Pokémon to the sense
of adventure in exploring vibrant regions. The announcement of Z-A couldn’t
have come at a better time, and everything we’ve seen so far from the return to
Lumiose City to the reintroduction of Mega Evolutions has me counting down the
days until release. It feels like the perfect mix of nostalgia and fresh new
ideas, and I can’t wait to see how this next chapter unfolds.

Aniimo
About: Aniimo is an upcoming free-to-play action RPG. In
this game, players take on the role of a Pathfinder exploring the vast and
vibrant world of Idyll. A central gameplay element involves encountering
magical creatures known as Aniimo, which players can collect, evolve, and merge
with through a unique feature called "Twining." This mechanic allows
players to fuse with their Aniimo companions, gaining new abilities and
perspectives. Aniimo also offers an open-world experience filled with
exploration, puzzle-solving, and both player-versus-environment and player-versus-player
combat. Best of all, it will be available to download and play for free.
Thoughts: I was watching the Xbox Showcase with a friend
when the trailer for Aniimo came on, and it immediately grabbed my attention. I
honestly can’t wait for this game not only does it have a super cute art style,
but the gameplay looks engaging. The creature designs are charming, and the
whole concept of merging with them through the “Twining” mechanic sounds like a
fresh twist on the monster-catching genre. From what we saw, it looks like
Aniimo is going to offer a great mix of exploration, strategy, and real-time
action. It’s definitely one of my most anticipated upcoming titles (Don’t tell
the Pokémon).

Sword of the Sea
About: Sword of the Sea is a visually stunning,
atmospheric adventure from the creators of Journey, ABZÛ, and The Pathless. You
play as the Wraith, gliding across ever-shifting landscapes on a mystical
Hoversword that blends the movement of surfing, snowboarding, and
skateboarding. Explore surreal, wave-like terrains, uncover the remnants of a
forgotten civilization, and work to revive a long-lost ocean. With fluid
gameplay, a deep emotional journey, and a breathtaking art style, Sword of the
Sea offers a unique blend of action, exploration, and spiritual discovery.
Thoughts: The art style in Sword of the Sea looks
absolutely stunning, with a surreal, flowing world that feels alive in every
frame I’ve seen. The concept of land moving like waves is beautifully brought
to life, from massive tides of sand to gentle ripples shaping the terrain.
Exploring this ever-shifting world looks adventurous.

Jurassic World Evolution 3
About: Build your own Jurassic World like never before.
Nurture generations of awe-inspiring dinosaurs with the series debut of
juveniles, create and manage sprawling prehistoric parks around the globe, and
let your imagination roar with powerful new creative options.
Thoughts: I absolutely loved both Jurassic World
Evolution and its sequel, so there’s no doubt I’ll be picking up Jurassic World
Evolution 3 not long after it launches. If it can successfully blend the best
parts of the first two games, we could be in for something truly special—a park
builder that feels both exciting and refined. One thing I’m really hoping for
is more advanced terrain editing, similar to what we’ve seen in Planet Zoo.
Honestly, that’s been one of my only real complaints with the Evolution series
so far the terrain tools often feel too limited. Then again, maybe Planet Zoo
has just spoiled me.
