I adored this book. Rory’s story is sarcastic, witty, and utterly relatable, a perfect mix of humour and heart. On her way home from the bar, Rory hits something with her car, only to be attacked by a mysterious creature, leading her to discover she’s a werewolf. Told entirely from her point of view, Rory is tough, fierce, and deeply human, grappling with transformation, family, relationships, and personal trauma. The parallels between her werewolf awakening and her twin sister’s journey into motherhood are poignant. Unique, thrilling, and emotionally resonant, this story blends supernatural suspense with real-world relatability and unforgettable characters.

From the very first page, this book drew me in with its surprising depth and charm. Told entirely from Ox’s perspective, it immerses readers in Green Creek, a seemingly quiet Oregon town where relationships are anything but ordinary. The connections between characters feel authentic, shifting effortlessly between heart-wrenching, hilarious, and heartwarming moments. While it’s technically a shifter story, the supernatural elements serve mostly as a backdrop to a story about love, identity, and belonging. Following Ox over a decade, we witness his transformation from a quiet, uncertain boy into a strong, complex, and confident man, making the journey unforgettable and emotionally resonant.
I have to confess, this was my first Ali Hazelwood book, and it immediately convinced me I need to move her higher on my TBR. I read it as a buddy read with a friend, and it was such a guilty pleasure—combining a marriage-of-convenience trope with a slightly forbidden romance between a vampyre and a werewolf. Misery, the daughter of a powerful vampire councilmember, and Lowe, an Alpha Shifter striving to protect his pack, are both compelling and complex. Their tension is electric, and I loved how Ali explored their differences thoughtfully, adding a realistic, heartfelt layer to the witty, banter-filled story. Book Two is on my TBR.
High Moor is a gripping horror-thriller that spans twenty-two years in a small Northern England town rocked by brutal werewolf attacks. The story alternates between the childhood experiences of John, Michael, and Marie, and their adult lives when the beasts resurface. Reynolds reimagines werewolves with originality some change at will, others only on full moons creating a terrifying, unpredictable threat. The characters, both children and adults, feel vivid and authentic. Tense, fast-paced, and gorgeously descriptive, High Moor blends suspense, gore, and dark humour into an immersive, page-turning story that left me utterly enthralled. This is part of trilogy and I am so happy I found them on Kindle Unlimited.
Fated to the Wolf Prince is the first book in the Hunted Omegas series a spicy, fast-paced shifter romance that delivers everything fans of the genre could want. Best friends Brielle, Shay, and Leigh attend a Great Pack Gathering for unmated adults, but Brielle considered a weak psi wolf never expects to catch the High Alpha’s son’s attention. Their instant, undeniable connection sparks a story filled with tension, heart, and discovery. Beneath the romance lies a darker mystery about outlawed Omegas and a ruthless system built to control them. Engaging, addictive, and richly layered, this book sets up a thrilling, ongoing saga. I’m spacing out my reading a bit and holding off on book four since book five comes out on 21 October 2025, and book six isn’t due until 17 March 2026.
