Hello Readers,
Thank you so much to NetGalley and Orbit for the early copy of Savage Blooms. I received a complimentary eBook in exchange for an honest review. With the book publishing today there’s no need to worry this review is completely spoiler-free. Also I will not be discussing the spice levels as that’s all down to personal preference.

Synopsis: Adam has been in love with his best friend Nicola since college, but the closest he can come to admitting his feelings is inviting her to travel with him to Scotland in search of a legendary cave from his grandfather’s bedtime stories. When a storm washes out the road, Adam and Nicola find themselves at the mercy of Eileen, an eccentric aristocrat, and Finley, her brooding groundskeeper. The Americans quickly get more than they bargained for as they become entangled in Eileen and Finley’s world of mind games, kink, and ancient enchantment.
Miniature Review
Savage Blooms is a lush, gothic romance that immediately
pulls you into its darkly atmospheric world. Set against the misty backdrop of
a remote Scottish estate, the novel weaves together sensual tension, ancient
folklore, and a creeping sense of unease. At its heart, the novel revolves around four flawed characters Adam, Nicola, Eileen, and Finley. Through multiple POVs, their secrets slowly unfold, each revelation adding new tension and depth. They’re messy, morally grey, and often unlikeable, but that’s what makes them feel real. Their relationships twist and shift in a way that keeps you hooked, unable to look away.
The supernatural elements remain mysterious and restrained, building intrigue and leaving plenty of room for expansion in future books. Just like the protagonists, readers are left chasing answers that always seem slightly out of reach.
I’m sure I say this after each ST Gibson book I read but once again the writing is exquisite its immersive and brimming with tension. Gibson has a way of writing that feels both decadent and sinister, wrapping you in imagery that’s as intoxicating as it is unsettling.
Savage Blooms is dark, moody, and irresistibly addictive. Be sure to check content warnings before diving in, but if you’re ready to be swept away into a world of desire, secrets, and shadows, this novel is a must-read.
