Willing Prey by Allie Oleander Review (Gifted/AD)

Hello Readers,

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Evermore for the early copy of Willing Prey. I received a complimentary eBook in exchange for an honest review. With the book publishing tomorrow there’s no need to worry this review is completely spoiler-free. Also I will not be discussing the spice levels as that’s all down to personal preference.

Synopsis:
Post-divorce and buried in student loan debt, Claire Collins eagerly enters a spicy business agreement with an acquaintance who wants to explore his primal desires. The deal is simple—thirty days as his sexual prey, $30,000 in her bank account. All she has to do is give Shane Underwood the hunt of his life.

Claire’s a physical education teacher and perfectly happy to spend her summer having wild, kinky sex instead of working her usual serving job. But once they cross the tree line, she realizes how little she knows about the corporate lawyer paying her to be his prey.

Shane is different in the woods. Brutal. Devastating. Feral.

That’s okay with Claire she is, too. And she’s sinking her teeth a little deeper into Shane’s heart every time he catches her.

Miniature Review
I knew from the blurb this book would be a wild, unhinged ride and it delivered in the best way possible. This dark romance blends heat, tension, and adventure into a fast-paced story that’s impossible to put down. With dual points of view, readers get to experience both Claire and Shane’s point of view, adding depth and intensity to their already electric chemistry.

The banter sparkles, the side characters bring humour and heart, and the main relationship brims with yearning and raw emotion. What could have been just a “spicy deal” story evolves into something layered, character-driven, and addictive.

Perfect for fans of dark romance, primal play, and fast-paced, high-heat reads, this book is as fun as it is feral and it proves once again that I can’t resist a hero who falls hard for his heroine.
