My Vampire Plus-One by Jenna Levine Review

Hello Readers,

Jenna has done it again with My Vampire Plus-One, the hilariously heart warming book is a sequel to My Roommate is a Vampire. This paranormal romcom blends fake dating, supernatural charm, and genuine emotion into a story that’s as swoon-worthy as it is funny.

Amelia Collins is a thirty-five-year-old accountant who’s had enough of her family’s questions  about her single status. When another wedding invitation lands in her mailbox, she decides to find a fake boyfriend to get them off her back. Enter Reginald a charming, eccentric stranger who also happens to be a centuries-old vampire pretending to be human. What starts as a simple arrangement quickly turns into something fang-tastic as sparks fly between Amelia and her undead plus-one.

Reginald absolutely steals the show. Fans of My Roommate Is a Vampire will remember him as the quirky side character, and seeing him step into the spotlight is a treat. He’s funny, flirty, and surprisingly vulnerable beneath the humour. Amelia, the ultimate workaholic introvert, balances him perfectly. Their chemistry is electric, and their misunderstandings especially around Reggie’s not-so-secret vampirism are laugh-out-loud hilarious.

Jenna sprinkles in clever pop culture nods… hello, Twilight and Dungeons & Dragons references, a touch of spice, and cameos from Frederick and Cassie that will make fans of the first book giddy. It’s the perfect cosy paranormal romance for the spooky season.

With its fake dating trope, witty banter, and endearing characters, My Vampire Plus-One is a must-read for anyone who loves romantic comedies with a supernatural twist.

Stay Spooky
