Hades x Persephone Saga by Scarlett St. Clair Review

Hello Readers,

This book series is smutty if that’s not your thing this post might not be for you. I will not be discussing the smut in this series as I am just going to share the blurb of each book as well as goodreads link in case you would like to add the books to your TBR.  I would recommend this book series to any one even if you glaze over the smut there is a brilliant Greek mythology retelling in this book, or if you love romance and enemies to lovers. Unfortunately, I’ve not had a chance to reread the series yet as I want to reread the series before I jump into ‘A touch of Chaos’.

A Touch of Darkness
Persephone is the Goddess of Spring by title only. The truth is, since she was a little girl, flowers have shrivelled at her touch. After moving to New Athens, she hopes to lead an unassuming life disguised as a mortal journalist. Hades, God of the Dead, has built a gambling empire in the mortal world and his favourite bets are rumoured to be impossible. After a chance encounter with Hades, Persephone finds herself in a contract with the God of the Dead and the terms are impossible: Persephone must create life in the Underworld or lose her freedom forever. The bet does more than expose Persephone’s failure as a Goddess, however. As she struggles to sow the seeds of her freedom, love for the God of the Dead grows—and it’s forbidden.

A Touch of Malice
Persephone and Hades are engaged. In retaliation, Demeter summons a snowstorm that cripples New Greece, and refuses to lift the blizzard unless her daughter calls off her engagement. When the Olympians intervene, Persephone finds her future in the hands of ancient gods, and they are divided. Do they allow Persephone to marry Hades and go to war with Demeter or prohibit their union and take up arms against the God of the Dead? Nothing is certain but the promise of war.
