Let there be light

Happy Christmas Readers,

Nothing quite announces the arrival of the festive season like the switching on of Christmas lights there’s something incredibly magical about the Christmas light period. I love it little lights glowing, Christmas songs blaring through speakers and the warmth of festivity that spread throughout simply cannot be beaten.

You guys can call me Peter Pan I still get a warm fuzzy feeling when I see Christmas lights and I still love going to the switch on. I can disguise it now as it’s become a little Christmas tradition since my friend had her little girl, we now make a thing of it Christmas jumpers the lot.

Where I now live, doesn’t get a huge Christmas market but its there for the light switch on and adds to the beautiful atmosphere it’s worth the effort to stop and check out the little market stalls and take some time to check out the lights.

I love going to Nottingham at Christmas because the Old Market Square transforms into Nottingham’s very own Winter Wonderland. This year they had the Bavarian-style stalls, with handmade jewellery, woolly winter wear and wooden crafts, as well as homemade and artisan cheeses and chocolates. I love that in the middle they have a real ice rink too.

This is your less than a week away warning
